Ridiculous Rates to Change Booking Details!

Fellow consumer, I have recently had an absolute nightmare dealing with SAA. As a part of my business schedule I had arranged to fly from JHB to Harare and then return from Bulawayo airport to JHB, unfortunately due to a business crisis I was forced to remain in Harare and skip the visit to Bulawayo. So I called SAA to arrange change of departure city, a fairly reasonable request I would have thought. Well, after TWO days of constant phoning and being told to call back in 2 hours, I finally managed to achieve the adjustment. But my dear fellow traveller they charged me R1900 per ticket for the change!!! I was absolutely horrified! I truly believe that any passenger that is in the unfortunate position that their circumstances change it is SAA's brief and way of exploiting the consumer. I will no longer fly with SAA, there are plenty of other Airlines that are a great deal more helpful and sympathetic to their customers. I really thought the days of the Mafia had been and gone!
