On 01st March 2013, I made a booking for 03 march 2013 to travel to South Africa Johannesburg through Chantelle van Niekerk of Hatfield Sta travel in Pretoria. but I was unable to travel at all, because the airline refused as my passport was expired, they told me that they will reserve my ticket, that I should contact my agent to inform them, I later contacted STA to request for a change of my travel date. Chantelle replied and informed me that the airline says I did not show up, so they did not reserve my ticket, which was a lie, I went back to the airport and they showed me that the ticket was reserved, STA should just release it, to my suprice STA refused, they kept on lying, I phoned STA London, they were amased they did not understand why STA Hatfield is refusing to release a ticket, Then I called the office only to be told "sorry your ticket has been cancelled if you did not travel". I called the manager Mpumi who was not willing to listen to me. I reported the matter to consumer affairs I am still waiting for the response, I feel this was unfair treatment that must not happen to anyone else.
