Dont leave your carry on luggage at the stairs

I was on the fight from Cape Town to Durban on 28th July 2013 - 3 pm flight.

I was asked at the walk on stair to consider leaving my carry-on luggage for loading into the cargo hold as the available space in the overhead lockers was limited.

Seeing as i had only basic goods in my luggage i decided to leave the bag with the undertaking from the attendant that cable ties would be applied to my zips.

On retrieving my baggage off the carousel in Durban i discovered - no cable ties (or they had been removed) and sunglasses had been out of my bag. They were not expensive but realized even loading at this late stage of the flight does NOT mean the luggage handlers do not have time to go through your bag!!! they do!!! and what they can.

So be aware there is still occasion to from your bags - Do NOT leave them at the stairs with the attendant!!!
