Refusal to cancel contract after many years

I have been and still am having issues with Flexi Club timeshare that has now escalated immensely. I signed a contract with them in 1994, where I was promised many things that has never transpired. I have tried cancelling the contract with them for years now but they have refused to cancel it or sell it to someone else even after I was told that they would see to the resale of it. I have informed them over and over that I am by no means able to afford this as I have 4 children and a household to see to with a minimum income. They've been deducting money from my account even though I tried to cancel, until I put a stop order on the transaction. Today, they sent a sheriff accompanied by another two law persons who walked in and took inventory of what I owned under 'warrant of execution against property' in order to claim 'money owed to them. This is unethical behaviour and I feel this is forced on me after I have been unsuccessful in my prolonged struggle to cancel. I feel that they are scamming innocent people and I need a way forward.
