Not enough fuel on a domestic flight?

Flight MN451 out of Lanseria to CT this morning, has stopped at PE International Airport to refuel as they do not have enough fuel to make it to CT. Flight was supposed to arrive in CT at 08:00am, and is now only scheduled to land at 11:00am if they are lucky. Now if this was due to a technical fault with airplane than this is understood. The delay is because they "do not have enough fuel to get to CT" and thus, have delayed all passengers and there plans in CT, by up to three hours because of it.

In the company I work for, this would warrant a serious investigation and disciplinary action for such a traversty of poor service.

How in this day and age can we not know how much fuel is required for a 737 to make it to CT?
Was the amount of fuel required to CT not planned ahead of time?
Is the plane's fuel gauge faulty?
What recourse is there for passengers when Kulula do not deliver according to scheduled arrival time because of an inexcusable issue like this? My payment was on time!

I have never had any issues with flights on Kulula but you guys have really dropped the ball here. This behaviour is inexcusable for such a polished airline such as yourselves. Investigate!
