Traveling & Tourism

The check-in staff at the Cape Town International Kalula counter are in need of a little refinement and polishing.
When my wife checked in with our 2 girls en-route to JHB, she checked in 2 bags, weighing 52 kg together. Less than 60, right??
Now, whereas I fully understand the policy this will be hidden behind, I must mention that the 3 girls together (and we paid for 3 full seats), tip the scales at under 150 kg.

Ok, so the bags each weighed 6 kg over the individual item limit, But I doubt that would bring the plane down.

Anyway, for R 250-00 the weight issue was resolved, but the way this was handled by a certain gentleman of obvious Cape Town origin was far from acceptable, he threatened to "call a cop" and refused to give his name (Hey Razis, what's up, got your kick I hope?)???
That's what put the cherry on the top.

In summary, whereas I don't expect any enlightened response from the poor sod who has this unenviable task, I'd like to advise all future travelers that should you be "underweight", they'll still get their pound of flesh out of you.
