Vodacom
Service cut off

My Vodacom contract is finishing today and at around 10:40 my service got cut off. During the middle of a business day! I phoned Customer care after which I was told there is nothing they can do as they are migrating my number to prepaid.
The problem is, how do you do this in the middle of a business day!?
