Account Closure Failure

An e-mail sent to Telkom (via their website) on 24 February to affect count closure elicited no response and of course no closure.
Account was closed telephonically from inside the Menlyn branch on 16 March (after waiting > 20 minutes for the operator). I was told closure will be effective immediately. Reference number 75013391A given.

But as expected I still receive an SMS that the account is in arrears and money still deducted from my account. The store cannot help me and the web-site has no option (that I can see) which allows me to affect closure. Thus I am stuck to call the useless number again and hold on for 20 minutes to get an operator that will again not be able to sort this out. Is there any other way to get Telkom to actually provide customer service?
