I visited the Cell C branch in Cape Town (CBD branch) to have them change my contract from the R149 pm to R99 pm speedstick product. The sales assistant tols me she had to cancel my old contract in order to activate the new one. This, however, proved to be a challenge as she clearly did not know what she was doing and struglling to carry out the transactions. Once everything was "fine" she told me I would have to pay the activation fee, etc, etc - which I agreed to. However, I am paying TWO contracts now. The old one was NEVER CANCELLED!!! After the first statement I received (and saw the amount being debited from my bank account) I again visited the same shop only to be told they cannot help me at the shop because they cant see whats happening on customer's accounts, I should phone the call centre. After SEVERAL calls to the call centre and TWO emails - Im still paying for 2 contracts!!! One cannot get through to an agent at the call centre, emails go unanswered and assistants at the shop dont assist. Even if its only R149 to the Cell C group, its still MY money. FIX THIS MISTAKE AND REFUND WHATS OWED TO ME. Happy to take my money, but slow to fix your mistakes!
