VODACOM 0820090000 spamming me

A week ago I started receiving messages incessantly from 0820090000 - message reads "Message cannot be displayed". I phoned Vodacom and they claim it could be mms which is a valid response except that I Never before received mmses, and I don't even receive that many texts per day from anyone. So it is not a valid response for me. It is like SPAM. Somebody needs to know how to stop these coming to my phone. I have never entered my telephone number onto any website platforms and my number is already on the registry that prevents people from receiving unwanted spam and advertising calls. In speaking with Vodacom they claim I should report it to the police who will open an investigation. This is not good enough, because how will the Police stop these messages??.. And have the police stopped the messages received by other complainants with the same issue, because there are many others it seems.

If this is not resolved I will change networks. There has to be solution beyond complaining on a website/going to the police - who knows what they will do about it.
