Sim card does not work on upgraded phone

I have received my Nokia Lumia 620 within 2 working days after my online order. Excellent service! But this phone only takes a mini (micro) sim which is not stated anywhere when you upgrade. What si the use of upgrading my phone if I cannot use the phone? Please Vodacom, you could have sent me the micro sim with the phone as I did this online and got the upgrade free whereas in the shop I would have received the sim anyway. Please help?
