Why does MWEB Charge so much? I am and have been a loyal supporter of MWEB from the Worldonline days, but it has just dawned on me that we as consumers are being ripped off.

I received an e-mail from MWEB advising moving to a 4MB Line Speed for a mere R 399.00 per month, and this made me think... I am currently on a 2MB Uncapped Line, and get download speeds of between 500kb - 900kb per second, so why would I pay more for nothing...

I then decided to check out other companies, and found Cybersmart, who are offering the following:

Uncapped, unthrotteled ADSL Connection at :

upto 2MB Line Speed - R 495.00 p/m including ADSL Circuitry
upto 4MB Line Speed - R 695.00 p/m including ADSL Circuitry
upto 10MB Line Speed - R 895.00 p/m including ADSL Circuitry

I only use upto 21 GB per month, and they can (Cybersmart) can offer me the following:

30GB 30GB (FREE) = 60GB Capped per month, unthrottled including 10MB Line Speed at only R 775.00

So, why should I stay with MWEB? Can someone please advise me...

I would really like to know from MWEB regarding this.
