Unacceptable "Customer Service"

I live in the Helderberg Basin but work outside of it. As such, I have a lot of contact with family and friends in the Basin area. Yesterday, for some unknown reason, there was no network coverage in the Basin area. At a friend's request, I phoned the Customer Care call centre to find out whether there was a problem in the area. And that is where the fun started. The call centre agent insisted that I provide him with 5 numbers of other people also experiencing a problem before he would log a report for the technicians. I told him that it's not MY job to do Vodacom's reporting and investigating and that I am letting him know that there have been many complaints from the area and that HE can do the investigating seeing as he is employed by Vodacom. He remained belligerent and after I provided two numbers for him to follow up, he decided that this must be a contract problem and that I must now go through the whole rigmarole of explaining the whole situation to another department. At that point, my temper snapped and I hung up and turned to Facebook, with absolutely ZERO help, or acknowledgment that there was a problem. I even tagged one of the Basin Facebook pages for Vodacom
