I have been a loyal customer of Cell C for many years. I currently have a debit order which runs at the end of each month. This past month I had insufficient funds to honour the debit order. I made contact with the call centre and asked for my account to be debited on the 15th of this month. I have just received an sms to say my account will be suspended, and within minutes it was done. Why ask a customer to call and make arrangements, which I did, then simply counter act those arrangements. And all this for a mere -R500 account after I have spent thousands of rands with this company already. I have already opened another cell phone account with one of the better service providers in SA. They do not suspend your account if you cannot pay one month, they simply carry over the balance to the next month and debit it then. I will NOT be renewing my contract with Cell C. This is not the first time this has happened and I know of many more people who have experienced the same issue with Cell C. And trying to get through to the call centre without holding on for more than 10 minutes - not going to happen.
