Cellular Reception/ Connection absolutely shocking

For the last few months cellular connections have been unspeakably shocking. It is impossible to have a single phone-call that is not dropped multiple times. While the connection lasts the reception is bad enough to make the conversation unintelligible. I will often try to dial another cellphone number 10 times without successful connection, mostly the phone does not even ring! When others dial my number they either go to voice-mail directly even though the phone is on and with me or they will get no connectivity at all.

Every single cellphone user I have spoken to reports the same problems. The service provider in in breach of contract as they are charging for a service and failing to deliver. Is this a case of a provider dis-investing itself of all infrastructure and leaving its customers at the mercy of infrastructure administered by other providers? No wonder they are so cheap. Cell C is STILL to expensive considering their product is non-existant. Why would I pay for a contract so I cannot make calls. Data connection is just as terrible via Cell C.
