Am I not protected by the consumer protection act?

Hi

I've been using Web Africa uncapped for a month and decided to move to a different ISP that will suite my needs better.

I've got a month to month account with the idea to cancel any time I want.

I've notified there service department on 1 April 2013 that I'm cancelling my account. On the 2nd I sent an official notice to the Sales department (Not thinking it was needed, just trying to be nice, the other department surely forwarded my request).

Now they turn around and say that the account will only be cancelled at the end of May? Need to give a calendar month... What more do you want, is 30 days not enough time to cancel or is this just another why make money?

What more sales sent through a link to their terms and conditions after I complained? With this kind of attitude all I can say is to stay away from Web Africa ISP.

I'm sure this will affect my connection until date of termination.

PS I've got the functionality to cancel the account from my user screen. Wonder what is does??
