I received a new 4S last year in the box with seals all intact. Two weeks ago it just refused to charge I booked it in at Canal Walk and waited for the verdict. After enquiring how far the repair was I was informed that the handset is beyond economical repair as there are screws missing from the handset. That was the good news!!! Now Vodacom is saying that I either removed the screws or had it repaired at some unauthorised place. What a joke as the handset is under guarantee so why would I take it anywear else or decide the repair centre let me fix this thing myself. So the cost exceeds R7 000 and they are expecting me to pay it. Vodacom has not heard of the Consumer Protection Act that the consumer should be receiving products that are not defective. Just when I thought Vodacom cared about there customers they go and show there true colours SIES man get your act together.
Clearly I have received a faulty handset which should be replaced that's the short and long of it. No Wena says Vodacom they even thinking of giving me a refurnished handset basically one they repaired that someone else did not want. All I want is to be placed in the position I should have been from the start.
