Cell C refuses to exchange my phone

Yesterday 30 March 2013 i bought an iphone 4s from Cell c mall @ reds after my phone was . i returned to exchage the phone today 31 March @ 9:00am as i am not happy with the phone because it is not compatible with my computer programs. the shop manager said that i cant exchange the phone because it was a cash sale. i dont understand this. the has not been used and it was within 24 hours of purchase.
