Wasting customer's time, terrible service

I am on Virgin mobile pay-as-you-go and wanted to change to a contract, and keep my old number. This number was originally my mother's. I went with my mother -- and her ID book -- to Canal Walk on 9 March to ask to take out a contract in that number. No, they said, it was not possible. I pushed and they eventually said yes, actually it was possible, but my mother had to get a police affidavit stating that I could take over the number. In the meantime, they would start setting up my contract. I gave them my three months of bank statements, proof of address etc, and VMSA said to come back the next week with the affidavit and everything would be sorted. We returned the next week, on 16 March, with the affidavit. In the meantime they had lost all my papers. The service was unbelievably bad. Eventually they promised to process the affidavit, locate the lost papers, and to be in touch about my contract on 19 March. I have heard NOTHING from them and their number is simply impossible to get through to. They really seem to not care at all about their customers.
