Cell C poor connectivity in Johannesburg - March 2

I have been have been having difficulty in making calls from my iphone 5 using my cell c airtime. it seems i have network coverage but i cannot make calls. This happens at least once a day. More importantly, people phone me and say that my phone is off when they try calling me, at times when it is on and by my side. I sometimes receive sms hours later from when they are are sent to me by friends, and i can hardly ever can surf the web on my phone using my sim card. when i use my wifi connection, it is super fast, so it cant be the phone. Disappointed as so many people told me not to get Cell C based on these issues. When i asked the salesperson, he told me Cell C were extending their number of towers and no longer have connectivity issues like in the past.
Is this not mis-leading me into a sale and hence a valid consumer protection complaint? it seems from reading the web, that many people are having these issues..
