MTN TRYING TO BAIL OUT BLACKBERRY

I sent in my blackberry unit which was faulty the touch screen was freezing and the phone was dropping calls and been stuck on SOS, when i unlock the screen it will make random selections and start unwanted applications all the time, i had booked in the phone cause its only 6 months old today!!! i received an sms saying to fix the phone is gonna cost me R2070 including vat lol so i called to find out why have i been sent this sms to my amazement i was told the phone has a scratch on it therefore this voids the warranty!!! i have ported over to MTN after been with vodacom for the previous 12years, what a mistake i have made.i now urge everyone not to put keys in their pockets or other objects which may "scratch"your phone lol. Rumors say RIM is on the verge of been bankrupt is MTN coming to rims aid???
