Vague Report from Repair Centre Job No: 8633992

Telecommunications

I am frustrated with Vodacom Repairs. I can't seem to find someone who can explain the engineers report. Reported fault: Phone not charging. Job Number: 8633992. The Engineers report came back as follows: 1 - *F2 B.E.R 2. - PHYSICAL DAMAGE, COVER CRACKED, GLUE ON SYSTEM CONNECTOR IS CRACKED, AS PER MANUFAFACTOR UNIT IS DEEMED BER. The vodacom agent told me the "GLUE" is the main cause of the phone not charging. When I asked how glue can get into a system connector, she responded to ask if I had not put the glue there??? I asked to speak to the technician and I was given this number 082 1944 and there, I got the same ignorant response, implying the glue is there because I must have put it there??? All I want to know is: (1) What is implied by GLUE? Is it accumulated dust? electronic components that could have 'melted' and now looks like GLUE? is it ADHESIVE GLUE? (2) I reported the phone for charging issues, WHY highligh the crack (physical damage: cover cracked (This by the way happened a year ago)? is it highlighted because it IS the problem? (3) this problem has happened twice with this phone and the motherboard was replaced in both occasions. Why can't it be done now?
