My phone sustained some damage after a drop and as such I took it to my nearest Cell C branch (Canal Walk). The phone was booked in and I was told that it could take up to 21 working days to repair. I was told however that I did have a insurance cover via my contract but if any costs would be incurred I would get a quotation first. Today, after a month and five days of silence from Cell C I phoned only to find out that no repairs had commenced at all yet and was given a quote in excess of R2000. I then mentioned my insurance and I was asked if I filled out a incident form. The man who assisted me on the day failed to provide me with this form. I am highly upset about the fact that I have been left completely in the dark only to find out that nothing has even happened so far. I have now submitted the incident form but am not prepared to wait through another month of horrific service. I insist that something gets done about this as I am paying for a phone that I do not have thanks to terrible service on my providers part. This is unacceptable and I sincerely hope that something can be done promptly to rectify this Consumer Protection Rights violation.
