I moved home at the start of February, gave Telkom more than a months' notice.
Telkom engineer came to the house and said that I need to have a draw wire installed. (This seems to be the standard first response whenever I have dealt with Telkom)
At the house I just moved from I had the same problem, it took 5 visits and 8 weeks for Telkom to eventually realize that the cables were already in the wall, in a box 15cm from the box they were looking at.
The advert on your website says "Hassle free", but it's actually false advertising because Telkom have made my "hassle free" move, actually my problem to fix.
Telkom state it's not their job to pull cables. I'm so sick of nonsense service from this company, where their staff just really don't give a. Telkom phones me every week asking if I have done what they have asked, but they haven't done what they advertise to do, move my services to my new house. I really don't understand why a company that sells telephony services, do not pull wires through an empty conduit, isnt this the basic building blocks of having a phone service installed?
To me this is like selling me a car where I have to supply my own chassis. USELESS
