Cell C Contract expired???

Fax was sent on Nov 2012 to cancel my contract as it had reached its 24 month Contractual agreement
All of a sudden i have been put on a month to month without my consent
I called Cell C and they said read your terms and conditions
Ok so to put this bluntly I did send a Fax regarding the cancelation Oh and recently after a complaint also sent a email to cancel the contract
The lines have been off for aprox three months now but money keeps being taken of my account
which has lead me to call the bank and ask them to put a stop on all Cell C activity
as far as i am concerned this should have been sorted out in December Last year after the fax was sent but was not
How is this my problem - its not
my contract expired then - why not completely as i want the account to be on pay as you go
what will become of the money that Cell C has deducted will this be refunded or do i have to lay a charge of against them for illegaly deducting money from my account
After numerous calls and frustration nothing has been done GRRR
