Our business ADSL line went down last week Tuesday, 12/02/2013. I suspect due to the severe lightening storm that afternoon. We have reported this problem multiple times since Tuesday only to be told the the problem is being escalated. We have received 3 phone calls from the ADSL technical department to tell us according to them the line is working.

It is clearly not and our business and business relations with our clients is suffering due the lack of action on this fault.

We have checked multiple times with IS to ensure that the problem is not on their side. Even as far as replacing our router as a Telkom technician does not feel we are important enough to attend to this critical problem. Modern business relies heavily on an internet connection for business communication. This is clearly something lost on Telkom. Being the only infrastructure provider in the industry they clearly do not need to worry about resolving problems. Furthermore, I discovered we are being charged for a 4MB/s line from Telkom but our line is only capable of 2MB/s. This is clearly. Only charge for what you can deliver!

This is highly frustrating and complicating our business unnecessarily.
