Vodafone top-up contract nightmare!!!

When my son went to boarding school I took out a top-up cell phone contract for him (previously on pay-as-you-go). I also took out two similar Vodafone contracts. For the latter I paid R149 and R285 each month for the 2 year contract period.
Then I renewed both contracts - my documentation reads "top-up" yet I am told that they were 'open' contracts and my bank account has been debited by up to R5000 per month for each one!!! The number of connections per day up to 267 - impossible - yet I am told that there is no error!!!
/- R30 000 has been take out of our bank account by Vodacom (?) - I have tried to get this sorted out for nearly 2 years - no one at Vodacom will assist me!!! :-(
