New cellphone constantly freezing

I renewed my contract and got a new blackberry 9380 a few months ago. The phone worked fine for about a month thereafter i noticed that it freezes up all the time. I have to pull out the battery and restart and then it still is extremely slow. i have asked other ppl about the phone as they used to have one and i was told that it is a common problem with this model and that vodacom is aware but continues to sell this phone to clients.

It is completely unacceptable for vodacom to be selling these phones knowing that they are problematic.
I spend alot of money on my cellphone contract only to be offered a sub standard handset.

I want vodacom to take back this defective handset and offer me a handset that is worthy of the package that i am on. I dont mind paying in a difference on a more expensive handset but i cannot continue to use the phone i have been given.
