Overcharged whilst on holiday

I was in Mozambique, 18 - 26 December 2012, for 9 days. During the time spend in Mozambique I made maximum 3 short calls to South Africa. I send a few sms's. My international call billing came to R3.51. International SMS came to R2.80. My roaming events came to a staggering R3632.81 (665 calls). I queried this account and MTN queried it with Mozambique. After a week they did not contact me, but send a e-mail with exactly the same details as on my itemised billing and responded that the charges are correct. In December 2011, I went to Mauritius for a week and had to make international calls for business, and my bill increased with only about a R1000.00. I then went again in March 2012 to Mauritius and my overall bill increased with about a R1000.00.
I have asked MTN how this is possible if I have not made any call whilst in Mozambique, they only said that my Blackberry does automatic updates and that is why my charges are so high. Strange, because I have used the same cellphone in Mauritius and I was never billed with such a ridiculous amount. I can't accept such charges without details. They can't just charge me and I have to accept it. Please help me.
