Cell C
Does CellC tolerate?

I am writing to express my disappointment at the shocking treatment I received lately from Cell C, when I applied for a contract at a Cell C store in Eastrand Mall. My contract application was rejected apparently on the basis that someone is not happy with my ID. At first they would not give me any reasons for the rejection until I insisted and forced the issue! Eventually they said my ID does not match because the ID number is a South African ID number but it says "Cameroon" as place of birth. I am a South African citizen born in Cameroon and fail to see how that can or should be a problem. If I can use my ID to finance a car and a bond how is it that it is a problem with the Cell C individual? I understand they reserve the right to refuse but wondered if I would have received this same treatment if my place of birth read "England" instead? What surprsised me even more was the response I received from CellC Customer service. The response by email was that they unfortunately could not help me and referred me back to the store!!! I can understand the ignorance displayed by the store, but would have expected the brand owners to deal with such unprofessional attitude from the store!
