Once again poor service has shone through

Telecommunications

I bought my phone (Nokia Asha) in the last week of December 2013. The phone only worked fully functionally for 2 weeks before the phone lock button packed up and I had to take it back to the shop Edgars where I bought the phone from. The phone was kept for an unusual 2 week period and when it came back, it was still not fixed and apparently I had liquid damage on the button. To be honest if I had exposed the phone to liquid would it probably have not damaged all the buttons instead of just one button. I did contact MTN and they gave me some sad story but clearly was not wanting to accept responsibility for manufacturing a poor quality phone. I think it's a disgrace how a huge Corporate Company can through gross negligence allow their products to be marketed knowing full well that they are probably faulty and then sell it to a customer, and then want to blame the customer for a poor quality made phone. It's completely unethical and also very dishonest, but I suppose that because they are such a large company, they can afford to neglect proper quality and push out rubbish quantity products, and then on top of it, pass the blame to the customer. Lets hope and pray someone responds.
