Sonny Experia Go water damage

I bought a Sony Experia Go on 09/10/2013 ofter 2 months the on/off button stop working. I gave it in at Vodacom 4u in Brits at 14/01/2014 they send it to Vodacom Repairs Fourways Mall.
On 05/02/2014 i received a sms that i can collect the phone, when i got there they tell me that the phone had water damage and the main board is corroded.
The phone is waterproof and the phone was working when i gave it in, just the on/of button did not work.
Between Vodacom and Sonny they must sort it out.
I dont think Vodacom ask Sonny about it.
Vodacom say i didnt close the ports, It is a lie
