5 months of queries, R4820 excess late

We enquired about a data contract at the Menlyn branch in Aug 2013. Condition: once it reached the limit it should be blocked and we did not want/require any additional data - not exceeding the monthly instalment. Consultant confirmed that it was not a problem, contract signed, parameters uploaded. No mention of excess charges or the risks associated. Soon after, we were confronted with an excess charge for data used which we immediately followed up in writing, repeating our initial request. The consultant said she'd follow up and confirmed a week later that all was fine. Still no warning of any kind. We had no reason not to trust what she said and were confident that we would not exceed the data as the problem was 'rectified'. However, next was a R3680 charge presented to us - usage we were not even aware of / required! Countless emails, phone calls and more than 5 months later! Menlyn branch refuses to take full responsibility for incorrect option offered initially (even though they have since indicated that we should switch to a top-up option to solve the problem). No apology offered for all the inconvenience caused and the client (who merely requested not suggested!) is blamed
