Suspension of line while account paid

I paid my account on 23/1/14 by EFT with a request to the bank to send them a email to confirm the payment. All the references and the email address was correct. 3/2/14 I received a sms that my line will be suspended as my account is in arrears and payment must be made immediately. How can I be in arrears if I paid on the 23rd already? This is totally unacceptable. This is the second time I'm having trouble with Nashua and their client service is very poor. Why do they give me a email address to send the confirmation to, if they don't bother to even read the email and update their system? I really do not appreciate their attitude.
