I joined Afrihost during January 2014 and I have to admit it must be the worst decision I've ever!!
You cant get hold of ANYONE to speak to. Today I have tried twice and each time I had to wait longer then 20 minutes. The first time, the line cut out after 20 minutes before I could get through. The last time I got through after 20 minutes. The total duration of the call was more then 47 minutes THAT I HAVE TO PAY FOR.
Needless to say, my problem is still not resolved.
Yesterday I have tried to upgrade my package to 100GB Capped (from a current Uncapped product). Their stupid system kept on giving errors and I couldn't change it. Today I was told that it could only now happen on the 1st of March. Now I have to wait for another month before I can have an unshaped account.
I want to change to the capped product in the first place because of their stupid shaping policy. Getting 4Kbps download speed on a 2Mbps ADSL line is ridiculous!
Luckily I still have a contract with my previous service provider that I can use till the end of Feb, because Afrihost CANNOT deliver bandwidth.
Their claim to fame as the best ISP is a joke!
