Terrible service yet again from Altech Autopage

This is the final straw in a long list of problems with Altech. I sent my cellphone in for repairs (insurance provided through Altech with the original contract) at the start of December 2013, after being assured by various customer service consultants that the process usually takes two weeks.

After more than a month, I am getting more than irate at the lack of feedback and assistance I have received.

First off, it took nearly a week for the receiving branch (George) to book in the device. Finally, the device was booked in and I started receiving a flurry of SMS messages about the device and it's location. I called intermittently to keep myself updated, as Autopage don't.

Today, after having received a message over a week ago stating the device would be back at the originating branch in 4 days, I decided to call and find out where it is. After three calls to the customer service department, without any success and much wasted time, being put on hold forever, etc, I asked to speak to any manager: well, what a waste of time that turned out to be, given the "escalation process" and the fact that it will take 2 - 24 WORKING HOURS to get back to me. What a useless bunch, really!
