I got a phonecall from Yello Mobile to upgrade my cellphone contract. I am with Vodacom and they wanted me to change to MTN, via Yello Mobile. I took out the contract with them over the phone. I received the new cellphone and new simcard but nothing was what they have said over the phone. Wanted to return the unopened phone and cancel the new contract - Yello Mobile refered me to our local MTN shop 3 times. MTN shop had nothing to do with this contract but eventually they went the extra mile to help cancel contract and see that the phone be returned. The unopened phone was collected from our house by Yello Mobile. Few days later I received the statement of R188. I phoned Yello Mobile- they said it was a mistake; the new contract had been cancelled. End of that month R188 plus insurance and extra costs, adding up to over R300, was deducted from my bank account. I haven't use the unopened phone / simcard and I have cancelled the new contract, but still they deducted the money. Phoned them again. Yello Mobile said they would return my money. Now, more than a month later - I still haven't received anything.
