14 August 2013 - application for new service 4Mbs uncapped package
22 August 2013 - informed service is active
26 August 2013 - Telkom verify ADSL line and service starts working
31 August 2013 - MWEB invoice for HALF of August and all of September is received and paid
07 September 2013 - Uncapped 4Mbs line speed is throttled due to volume of data downloaded???
09 September 2013 - Request to cancel MWEB service submitted along with line migration back to Telkom
10 September 2013 - Migration back to Telkom is complete, MWEB package is downgraded to 2Mbs uncapped but new 4Mbs genuine uncapped service with another ISP is up and running.
11 September 2013 - MWEB send email asking if there is anything they can do to keep me as a subscriber and that they will require a full calendar month notice period from me.
I am now expected to pay for the full month of October 2013 for a 2Mbs uncapped package that I am not even using after MWEB saw fit to throttle and effectively cap my alleged 4Mbs uncapped package because I downloaded too much data. This is nothing short of daylight from a company that falsely advertises uncapped internet packages and then promptly throttles subscribers.
