In MWEB's newsletter dated 13/08/2012 MWEB clearly states this remark "Unlike other ISPs we never throttle our ADSL subscribers. Ever."
On Sunday 15 September 2013 MWEB throttled my internet speed to .01mbps, when I called MWEB they replied that I have exceeded my acceptable usage of my UNCAPPED ADSL. When mentioned the newsletter content I was told to write to the complaints dept which I did.
their reply was that they had to change their policy and that is why I got throttled but they keep saying that their Uncapped ADSL has no cap. When I asked what is the limit of usage they would not disclose it and in my letter I also asked what the limit was with no response.
MWEB still advertise their UNCAPPED ADSL as uncapped and never mention to current, new or potential customers that there is a cap on acceptable usage, a cap that they decide, when they want, for as long as they want and that we as customers may not know what it is.
Where is the rights of the paying customer?
The promise of their newsletter "Unlike other ISPs we never throttle our ADSL subscribers. Ever." now a total and apperntly just buried...
