Inability to deal with Blackberry issues

My husband's Blackberry showed an 'app error 200 reset' message.
I visited the technical department at MTN Northgate at approx 2:15pm on 2/2. I explained the problem to the doorman and was issued a slip indicating an expected waiting period of 28mins. I waited for 45mins and had to leave as I had an urgent meeting to attend.
I returned on Sunday was told that the phone needed a software upgrade and that there was no one there to help with this. I was told to go to either Clearwater or Cresta. Clearwater Mall staff said they didn't have the correct equipment, and I was told to go back to Northgate.
I returned to Northgate on 4/2 and was told that they weren't able to help, but Cresta would definitely be able to help me as the technician who dealt with this was now the manager of that store.
I went to Cresta on 4/2, only to be told that the manager wasn't there and that I should go to Morningside MTN. Apparently the store manager no longer deals with software issues, and has repeatedly communicated this to his MTN.
I visited the dedicated Blackberry desk at Morningside MTN today 5/2 and was FINALLY helped. Surely I should have been sent there in the first place??
