I was phoned one evening by a cellphone salesman from Cell C Head office. He had a contract for an Iphone which I liked. I specifically asked for a white one which he checked stock of and confirmed that he had one. He didn't tell me that my BlackBerry would be useless until delivery of the Iphone (because the upgrade was activated immediately). He said delivery would be approx 3 to 5 days (it was 6). My small business runs on bbm and Whatsapp messages, so I had many frustrations and loss of income when my phone couldn't work. Eventually, the wrong colour phone was delivered (black instead of white). I rushed to the nearest CellC outlet who couldn't help me. I was told by Mandla that he couldn't get me a white one either. I decided to settle for the black (very disappointed) and then couldn't use it because the Nano sim card wasn't included in the delivery. I had to pay R150 to get a new one. The store was unhelpful setting up the phone - it came with virtually no instructions. I now understand that the store is a franchise and gets no benefit from these head office deals. A very poor show Cell C to yourself!
