I took up a new contract with Vodacom beginning of January, on the 7th Jan i phoned the call centre informing them that the number that i got was a recycled number as i was getting calls and messages from people that were looking for someone who seems to be/was using the same number. Instead of them offering me a new number i was told that i cannot be given a new number as the line is already active.
i then advised the lady i was dealing with that i am not happy with their service and that they should come collect their phone.
The courier people came Thursday the 9th Jan to pick up the phone and Vodacom was in possession of it on the 10th.
i have been waiting since then for the account to be deactivated and closed but this hasn't happened...
Every time i call, the person i speak to advises that they will send an email to back office to close the line.
it is exactly two weeks now since i returned Vodacom's phone but they are failing to close this line.
My bank account has now been debited again for a phone that i am not in possession of.
I regret ever taking an additional contract with Vodacom and will definitely will not be renewing my other line once it expires.
