Complete Incompetence!!

I have been waiting for a Telkom ADSL line to be installed in my apartment for about TWO months now.
Every single time I call the call centre (which is weekly) I get a story for the delay and no one is ever able to put me through to the correct department. I am always promised I will get called back, but this promised has only materialised ONCE!

Today, the technician arrived to install the line. Firstly, he didn't have a modem with him. He blamed the store for not giving me one and the Rosebank store blamed him for not having brought one for the installation. Secondly, there were no available 'slots' in my local Telkom box. Which is surprising because one of the reasons for the delay in early December was that the technicians were installing additional 'slots'!
So I am still without a ADSL line... the saga continues...

With the delays, the non-communication, the inability to talk to the correct people and the incompetence I have experienced, I will strongly encourage anyone I speak to, to avoid going the Telkom route at all costs!!
