Vodacom not reparing phone under warranty

Telecommunications

I bought a Sony Experia z phone last year. When I worked with the phone I realised there was pressure on the bottom left side of the lcd screen. When I touched the screen on the bottom I noticed lcd smudges appearing under the glass. I didn't take much notice of this and thought it was normal. Late in December when working with the phone after a few minutes the touch screen functionality started to deteriorate. At first I thought it was because the battery was at 5% and it was having performance issues. I took the phone in the room and examined the screen, noticing that there was a small hairline crack starting at the left hand side of the phone going all the way to the bottom middle side. This is a manufacturers fault because of the initial pressure under the screen from the start. The phone was not misused in any way. I took the phone to Vodacom at Tygervalley only to be given a faulty replacement phone and after 10 days a quote for R3800 - for the repair. I rejected the quote and took my phone back. I will not pay this as it was not my fault. Vodacom needs to sort their repair section out and fix this problem
