I have an uncapped internet service with Mweb more than 2 years and over the last 6 months this has been throttled to the point where several minutes is require to download emails that are only kb's in size.
Speed tests will time out with no results.

Contacting Mweb has only responded in the sales department wanting me to upgrade to a higher account.
In other words I am forced to pay more for a service I should already be receiving if I stay with Mweb.

In an article posted on the [URL Removed] in Feb 2013 by Carolyn Holgate who is the GM of MWEB Connect quotes:-

"MWEB never throttles as it believes that its customers deserve the very best internet experience."

It appears Mweb staff and the GM need to get together and agree on what exactly is the company policies.

All is not lost, I opened an internet account with another service provider that guarantees in writing that they do not throttle data rate and their rates are also lower than Mweb. All is now going well again.

For those wanting to sign up with Mweb, be careful as there is no clear definition on their Acceptable Use Policy on what the threshold is for high data usage.
