My main complaint is the manner in which one of the employees, Nick Pieterse, at the Port Elizabeth branch dealt with my cell phone upgrade. I submitted my upgrade documentation to Nick on the 8 Nov 2013 and by the 19 Nov the documents were still not processed (11 days later). During this time he never returned my calls and if I managed to get hold of him he would advise that there is no stock, MTN has been off line or that he has been in training. Furthermore the benefits of the package he recommended was inaccurate.
On 20 November 2013, I went to MTN to see if anyone else was available to assist me and was once again informed by Carol Erasmus, that the branch did not have a manager or a consultant equipped to deal with customer service.
At this point I felt that the only option open to me was to cancel my contract with MTN and move to another provider; however the only person available to cancel the contract was Nick Pieterse.
Fortunately a staff member, Nicolette Els, offered her assistance, and 2 days later my cell phone was delivered to my house. I would not recommend MTN to anybody as I know that they might have to deal with Nick Pieterse and a branch without a manage
