I live in the center of Polokwane and work from my home. My business is telephone driven and as thus the most important part of my business. Since the end of 2012 and the beginning 2013 we have been experiencing bad signal strength from Vodacom. Many occasions I have phoned Vodacom from my land line reporting the problem. I have written to them explaining the problem and I always get the same answer "WE are aware of the problem and need to erect a tower to solve the problem" On my request as to when this tower is to be erected they reply that they have no immediate plans to erect a tower. I have requested some sort of a signal booster but they say they cannot. I have reported them to The Consumer Complaints Commission but nothing has come of this. For the past 3 to 4 months when I report the problem they reply that someone from their technical division will contact me. Nobody has contacted me. My cell phone bill is more expensive as a result of dropped calls and when clients phone in on my cell phone I have to return the call on my land line resulting in my Telkom account increasing by almost a third. I pay good money for extremely bad service I am at my wits end.
