I am shocked at the poor service I have received from Telkom.

I moved house and had to apply for my Telkom line (including ADSL) to be transferred at the end of Sept. However, Telkom doesn't have infrastructure at my new area. I then requested for the service to be cancelled. Telkom continued to bill me and deduct money from my account. After numerous visits to their Canal Walk branch, I received a call from someone in their Call Centre on 18/12/2013. This person promised that the cancellation will be back-dated as they could see that there was a fault on their side (Ref 91207326A). He said Telkom will reimburse me for the deductions that should not have been done.

On 20/12/2013 I applied for a data contract with Telkom Mobile. To my utmost surprise my application was turned down because I "owe" Telkom R1042.91. I went to their Tygervalley branch to try to get this sorted. The staff at this branch have been doing their best to help. I was told to resubmit my application as my case has been sorted out. Again, my application was declined - same reason!

I am hopping mad with Telkom. It's like I am being given the proverbial middle finger as a customer. Pathetic!!
