I am utterly shocked at the many levels at which Telkom has failed me now.

1st, my ADSL line was 'installed' in such a poor manner that I had to get someone else in to lay a cable (which I was forced to supply) as my the point where the junction box was put was about 20 meters away from where everything else was (about 3 weeks ago).

2nd, my ADSL line speed was downgraded from 10mb to 4mb without my knowledge (I only found this out when logging in to my router and then speaking to my ISP). When I phoned the call centre to get an explanation for this, I was first put on hold for over 40 minutes, then passed from pillar to post and ultimately told that I should contact them again tomorrow.

3rd, my phone line has been barred from phoning any numbers that are not Share call or toll free. My account (s) have ALWAYS been in good standing.

I find the attitude of the staff to be totally disgraceful, the wait times to have a call answered shocking, the lack of communication disgraceful, and the general service to be beyond bad. The saddest part of this all is that there is no recourse here, and I will still be expected to make my full payments despite the gratuitous lack of services.
