I entered into a contract with 8ta on the unlimited voice and data package (no device, sim only). This was after 8ta (apparently) being voted the best network for broadband. After two days of usage, I realised that the network coverage is so bad that I am on MTN's network more than 8ta (iPhone actually never goes off MTN when set on automatic network detection). On MTN network, no data. I tried to cancel my contract after two days. 8ta closed the call without doing anything, say they can't reach me, but in actual fact they have the wrong number. Been three months and no success. It is impossible to speak to any person at 8ta, only call centre. Agents are rude, make promises they never keep and all they seem to do well is apologise (not sure for what). Logging complaints on website is futile, cannot speak to cancellations department (do they even exist?), not receiving statements, being billed on the wrong date... No wonder then that 8ta cannot make a profit. Can somebody please respond and leave a number I can call (not 180 please!!!)
